Finally Pushing an Update
Yo yo,
So... it's been... awhile. Gone through a lot of rough patches back-to-back-to-back. Pondered giving up on the project in there, but I managed to push through and get work I wanted done two years ago done a couple months ago.
As usually, this was available to Patreon supports early in October. It includes various glitch-fixes found by them:
- You save are broken.
- It's gonna happen at least 1 or 2 more times.
- This is running Godot 4 so...
- Vulkan is the current back end.
- This loses some hardware support because writing GLES2 shaders for Godot 3 is starting to get limiting and cumbersome.
- Also, the plugin I use for dailogue had Godot 4.X exclusive features I needed.
- I can't run the window's build under wine, so I'm just kinda exporting and praying like I do with MacOS

- The new scene is down the following route:
- Fun house > Pull out > Push it in > Show no regret
- Revisit fun house
- Fun house > Pull out > Push it in > Show no regret
- The jitter shader is back
- This time not on top of text
- It can be turned off in the settings
- This time not on top of text
- Enter/Space now skips dialogue scrolling
- A shit load of internal redesigning, rewriting, re-implementing, and re-building. Turns out a game made for a game jam isn't exactly "well designed software".
Next update is gonna introduce some major shifts to CC. I'm planning on axing the branching paths idea. It's far to big of a scope for me to work on alone. Additionally, I would rather focus on the content I'm more interested in making: the infestation stuff. No ETA on the next update, but hopefully it won't be a multi-year gap.
I'm currently just enjoying the holidays, and trying to relax after a stressful 2021 and 2022. Hope you can find some rest during this holiday season

is there any ending? all i managed to get was to get infested by the centipedes... whats the use of the bull teddy or crocodile plush?
Unfortunately there isn't much beyond that in the game. The bag-of-bugs has a couple interaction as well as the "Weird Ball" item you can get as a large prize. I'm sadly, not able to work on the game any more. Burnt out and the code is just to much of a mess.

Yeah, you've basically found everything. I have actually published a few new things to my page. Mostly just small toys. Dunno when/if I'll have the time and energy to work on something bigger. Tho, perhaps, not as ambitious as I was with CC.

I tried the new version for Linux and got some errors, mostly during the new scene when the PC goes back to the glory hole in the fun house:

Glad to hear you haven't abandoned this project. You're responsible for giving me this infestation kink, after all, and I've yet to find anyone else who writes it quite as well as you do. :P
Lovely update ! The lucky shot minigames is insanely hard on android. I don't know how it is on PC but I barely can aim, the only thing I can do is swing it around and spam tap to hope it does tap when above a target
